Greetings All,
I am very new in Ansys and I need to use it for my School project work.
I am working on the prediction of inner wall temperature of pipe during in-service welding using Mechanical APDL 2D Steady State thermal analysis.
My problem is this, my welding heat energy input is in Joules/Millimeter. So, How do I input my welding heat energy in Joules/mm in Ansys APDL. I can only apply load in Degree Celsius temperature ([sup]o[/sup]C) but the load need to be in J/mm. Is it possible to convert Heat Energy in J/mm to temperature in degree Celsius. I have made several contacts but no body seems to provide solution.
Please, experts in the house help me out, am just new in Ansys. How do I input WELDING HEAT ENERGY IN J/mm IN A 2D STEADY STATE THERMAL ANALYSIS IN ANSYS APDL?
Thanks All.
