where can I find a good source for building materials weights.e
for example unit weight of sheeting galvanize ,plywood etc by a recognize authority

AISC steel construction manual has this info. Don't forget: There's always google.

The weight of galvanized coating, including hot-dip, can usually be ignored. The coating weighs a few ounces per square foot (such as 1, 2 or 3 oz/ ft2). Just use the weight of the plain steel, even for thin sheets which are, of course, coated on both sides.

Usually MSDS sheets will have density or specific gravity included on them.
If it's critical, look up two or three different brands.

The commentary to Chapter C in ASCE 7-10 (and earlier versions) has a fairly comprehensive listing of building material weights.
