Can anyone tell me where to find a reasonably priced model of a DC9 (MD87)? I need something with a wingspan of 4 to 8 feet. I prefer a wind tunnel model, but I can use a reasonably accurate display model.

Try looking around travel agents, sometimes these types of models are on display in the front office.

berkshire,

Thank you for the suggestion. I will try some travel agents.

IRstuff: the purpose of the model is to do preliminary aerodynamic modeling. At this point in the project I do not have a budget big enough to fabricate an elaborate aerodynamic model. If preliminary wind tunnel work is encouraging, then we will have budget for more exacting models.

I guess I'm a bit confused as to how you're going to do even "preliminary" aerodynamic modelling with a random model that might have zero resemblance to the actual airfoil used.

Much less enough structural integrity to survive long in wind tunnel tests.
