In UG NX3 when I view dependent edit curves periodically UG will create new view dependent curves in the place of where I edited the model based curves to show the image that I want. I hope I'm describing this clearly. To give an example, I create a view on drafting, use "View Dependent Edit" to trim some curves back to show a break-away view. At some point later, I may open a new sheet, or make a modeling change. When I come back to drafting mode, UG has created it's own curves in the view, not the model, that sit where the old model b ased curves were that I got rid of. It's very annoying, I have to keep cleaining up the views whenever I make changes.

I'm not the only one, it's seems to bea happening to many of my co-workers as well.

Any insight, has anyone else seen this happen?

I have seen the program create lines in a view when I am expanded into the view and blank a component that shows in the view. I haven't a clue why this happens. Hope someone will know.

See if you have Extracted Curves turned on under View Style. If you do, turn them off and see if that does the trick....just a guess.

I would expect this behavior if you're making model changes/edits and the views are updating with new edges to display, but not under any other circumstance. Maybe the view updates just aren't as complete as they used to be. Probably a good idea to contact GTAC if you don't get the problem resolved on your own.
