I am trying to create a sketch plane on the ID of a conical surface. For some reason I cannot create a point using an axis and the conical surface.

Any help would be appreciated.

opelgt21,

I tried to reconstruct what you described, and I think have succesfully done what you're trying to do. Check out the attached model.

Basically, try creating a point as an 'Intersection' - choose the conical face and a construction curve. Then you can create your sketch plane as 'Tangent' type, picking the conical surface and your point.

Are you putting the sketch on a plane, or flat face?
