Distance Measure within an active command i.e., Extrude, Pattern etc. is no longer associative?

Hi,

Our company recently rolled out NX 2406 and I noticed that the 'on-the-fly' Measure function within an active command is no longer captured as an associative value. I'm hoping this is a setting that just needs to be turned on, since it's a nice option to have, but I'm having trouble find that. Any ideas on this?

Thanks

That happened a few releases ago I think. I was slightly perturbed when I found out it didn't work like that anymore because I used it frequently. The way I've found around it is to create an associative measurement first and then get the p-value from that for the other feature.

What is Siemens saying about that ?
Same thread on the Siemens forum:

TL-DR - 3 Siemens people said "works on my machine" then OP showed a video, turning on the "create expression" option in the measure dialog and it worked as desired after that.

I am on NX2212 and the option is still available.
Your workaround is ok I believe and, as far as I understand where NX is going, in line with a general new approach that puts straiforward intuitive designe more than the older one based on inter-parametrization (i.e. the new sketcher too).
I'd love to ear what Siemens says about that anyway.
