The roof framing for an existing building in Akron, Ohio, has 10" bar joists in which the bottom chord is (2) round bars and the top chord is a bent plate approximately in the shape of a double angle (the middle is U-shaped). We thought these might be Macomber joists, but did not find anything like it in our Macomber catalogs. Any ideas who the manufacturer might be?

Your best bet is to get a joist tag off the existing joist. This should give you the size and manufacturer plus some other info.
