Does anyone have experience in methods to repair timber cribbing with stone in-fill which serves as the foundation of a bridge on mortared stone masonry piers? Some of the timber cribbing has dislodged and deteriorated, resulting in the loss of stone in-fill. Our initial thoughts are to pressure grout between the stones and develop some type of containment structure to restrict further movement of the cribbing, but do not have experience in doing so.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Can you support the bridge and remove the timber cribbing? Then replace with concrete cribbing? What is the loading on the bridge?
