Test blocks 1

I am fairly new to power generation and I am trying to find a more dense version of test blocks for shorting current signals and opening voltage signals. Is this what the industry calls them, "test blocks"? Should I be searching for another name? Surely there must be a more compact version of the FT-1 test block from GE

I guess I am not using the correct name to search. Can anyone help? The relays were already purchased before I got put on the project but in hindsight someone should of ordered them with the built in test blocks. Thanks in advance.

Areva / Alstom / GEC Relays make a test block called MMLG which might be of interest.

Comment: Traditionally, the substation used industrial grade of bypass test switches. The industrial grade tends to be robust. This is consistent with other switching items, e.g. relay 86, selector switches, control switches, etc.

There is a smaller size - States MTS, now owned by AVO. I don't know if there are equivalents from other US suppliers.

Doug, your link goes to some search engine or something but I presume you mean AVO.
Test switch and Meter Devices have a great selection of what I need. GE does not appear to have more than 10 poles on one switch. None seem to have any that are much smaller per pole than the FT-1. The rotary test switches from Meter Devices looks like a great solution for space savings.

I have not checked out MMLG test switch yet but I will.
