Hello all,

I have conducted an structural axial symmetric analysis and have a doubt while reviewing the results:

For this type of analysis, the tangential strain should be proportional to u/r, being u the radial displacement and r the radial distance to the point, right? Then, how is it possible to have positive u displacement and negative tangential strain?

Thanks for the answers,
Fernando
