Tanazawa Texture Standard

I was speaking to someone about the Tanazawa standard for textures. To be honest, I'd never heard of Tanazawa, having always been a Mold-Tech man. But I'm curious as to what texture standard other plastic manufacturers are using? Is Mold-Tech the standard in the U.S.? Are Tanazawa offering basically the same materials as Mold-Tech?
