Sync feature for ETABS

Has anybody ever tried to build a sync feature in ETABS similar to the sync feature of REVIT? It is such a pain for multiple people to work on a same ETABS model simultaneously. I was wondering that if we could have a feature like sync in ETABS it would improve the overall efficiency by a lot. So, I've decided to altease look into this and see how difficult it could be to build such feature or is it even possible.

I'm here for any suggestions or any leads like if creating a plug in is a way to go? or I should create a python tool which works with APIs to do the syncing? Thank you!

If colaboration is so important, have you ever tried working the structural geometric model in the REVIT domain (using the analytical space)? There is a tool called speckle that manage data from different software, I am pretty sure you can export the basic model into ETABS and when you finished in the analysis you can export back to REVIT.

I don't think ETABS has/will have the feature you require , but would be a nice addition.

Thanks for the feedback. Speckle, I've heard of it but never used it. I'll give it a try but seems like it wouldn't be the most convenient to use every day.

On a side note, I was able to create a plugin for ETABS which would allow us to sync with bit of coding on weekend hours. This has been quite convenient to use, I can sync things as per I wish with just one click. It took some effort to develop but has been absolutely worth it.
