Hi

I want to know what type of coating or treatmente is the one shown on the pictures (dark grey). The shaft is metallic
Can anyone identify by looking at the attached pictures?

I have some idler rollers that have the same appearance. I believe that is a hard anodized aluminum, probably with some sealant. It provides scratch and corrosion protection.
