Without experience with large vibrating machine, I was required to design the SUPPORT of the legs of a 100 tons "single toggle jaw rock crusher" to be placed on RC structure. Base on horizontal thrust(5,000lbs) and vertical force (fluctuate 30,000 to 70,000lbs) of each leg during operation, kindly enlighten SUPPORT DETAIL, and advise whether resilient pad works. Thank you alls.

You will need to apply the dynamic loads for analysis. Typically about 1.25 to 1.50 for this type of loading. Pay attention to frequency of loading versus magnitude of loadign as this will affect the concrete (and the anchor system). You can get a lot of info from the crusher manufacturer if you press for it.

Thanks Ron,
1) I understand you mean multipling the dynamic load by the factor and design for the enlarged load as static.
2) You pointed out the HEART of my question. The reason for design is to arrest the problem of severe damage at the connection on the RC Structure. KINDLY EXPLAIN A BIT MORE OF THE FREQUENCY/ MAGNITUDE EFFECT, PLEASE! (I am in the stage of collecting loading information from the manufacturer, who has simply refused to comment on the design and remedial issues. And that is the reason why I was engaged.
