When using studrails in post-tensioned slabs what is the maximum spacing of studs. ACI 318 11.12.3.3 indicates d/2 but the software from Decon uses 0.75d at interior columns.

Also ACI 318 11.12.3 indicates that d minimum for shear reinforcement in slabs is 6". Does this apply to studrails or only reinforcement cages? If 6" is correct then the minimum slab thickness would normally be 6+0.5+.75=7.25" at a minimum and that doesn't seem reasonable at the edge of a balcony slab.
