Engineers,

Anyone know any references that present case histories of houses or buildings built on failed slopes?

Please advise. Thanks.

I assume that you want examples of structures built on slopes that failed at some point subsequent to the construction. I know that Erik Loehr at University of Missouri has slope stability/failures as one of his research interests. I suggest searching for some of his papers/presentations. I recall one from ~2008 talking about a slide in Beverly Hills CA.

Thanks a lot jdonville
