Structural Minimum thickness for Pipe sizes above 24" 1

Hi,
Hope everyone is having a great time.
As we can see that API-574 (Table-6) dictates the structural minimum thickness for carbon and low alloy steel pipes but if the pipe size is more than 24" and MAWT is very low (even below the structural minimum of 24" pipe) then what criteria should be followed.

Generally you want D/t ratios < 100
More than 100 will increase risk of ovaling and flattening during handling, transportation and fabrication.

API 574 is a piping inspection standard.
It should not be used for design.

Check your design code for Max D/t limits.
Ensure that your resulting pipe thickness meets all other design loading conditions as specified in your design code.
Ensure that your resulting pipe thickness will be sufficient to prevent excessive ovaling during handling and transportation.

I think the subject table is table - 1 and copy and paste of the same,

One can see that the minimum wall thickness 6.35 mm (1/4 in) when the size is greater than 8 in. and less than 36 in .

For cs pipe, the minimum thickness shall also satisfy a minimum resistance to handling damage, buckling,internal pressure external loading etc...
