Hi everybody!

I want to model many steel connections in Femap, but every connection needs a lot of time to design it (Bolts, endplates, holes etc). Does anyone knows, if there is a design program, that you can model easy any connection you want, and then export it as a 3D Solid model, so that you can import it to Femap and just define the connectors and the mesh??? All the programs I know for steel connections (ECPraxis, Steel connections for Sofistik etc) they only export plan views but not 3D Solid models.

Thanks!

I've never the words

easy
connections
fea

mentioned in the same sentence.
