Greetings Engineering Commmunity,

We are looking at our library of standards that are paper copies and curious what the best way to manage them is from an accessibility and keeping current standpoint. We are talking about a thousand standards or more. We have a few site locations and a a few hundred people that would use them plus sales and application engineers who travel. I know IHS and Techstreet have subscription services and they are really expensive. Are there more companies out there that do this? Anyone gone down this path before and made a decision?

Thank you!

We used to have a IHS subscription but it was cancelled a few years ago, combination of cost and reportedly not enough usage. It is now up to the individual user to check the ASTM, SAE, ISO directories and purchase updates as they come up. The challenge is to determine what frequency to access the sites - annually, quarterly, ???
