Can anyone tell me whether the "Scope" of this standard has been reduced to aggregates smaller than 5 inches (125 mm) from the former 6 inches (150 mm), as occurred with the similar ASTM C29?

If so, can anyone explain the rationale nehind this change?

Does anyone have experience with this method on large aggregates (<6 inch) and, if so, is it a reasonably reliable way of determining loose and compacted unit weights for these aggregates?

Thanks for any adivce or comments.
