I don't see steering wheel in assembly file. How come it does not appear when I click on a part in assembly. Drive me crazy.

What version of Solid Edge are you using?

Solid Edge ST3 MP5 on WinXP x64
Insight Server on Win2008 R2 & SQL 2008 R2 x64
SharePoint 3.0 x64

st3 mp5 on win7 64
no server

It seem to be something not related with st3. I created a new user and all is in function now. Last a day trying to find solution.

Thanks

After some time same thing come up again. It is hard to work without wheel in assembly. Anybody had the same case and solution, please.

You need to check your "Select" settings. In the top right hand corner of your screen is a little square. When it is yellow it gives priority to parts and when it is white it gives priority to faces when you use the select tool. Ctrl-Spacebar toggle between the 2 settings. When the priority is set to faces the wheel should appear when selecting faces.

Another thing to check is in the drop-down of the select icon. There is an option to activate the wheel when you want to use it to move parts around with it. I hope this solves your problem.

Theodore

You are the man, Theodore

I do not know how I have turned it off.

Savior Theodore.

It is a pleasure to help. I believe that Solid Edge is a very underrated program with which you can do amazing designs, given that you know all the little secrets and short cuts.
