SolidWorks 2007 SP2.2 and SolidWorks 2007 x64 Edition SP2.2 is ready to down load.

Thanks for the heads up... I checked this morning and there were no updates, but I see it now.

SW07 SP2.0

I would like to know what changed.

Thanks Bradley... a star for you.

I find it a little irksome that SW puts an update on the website, but then doesn't explain what the update is for. I'm not about to install it until I know what it fixes or improves.

PDMAdmin, I know what you mean, I wish they would tell you what is updated instead of waiting a day or 3. Whenever there is a new service pack, there is downtime for several of us to update, along with updating PDMWorks vault.

We didn't update to SP2.1 because of the time involved, and what 2.1 fixed:

SW07 SP2.0

PDMAdmin,
Thanks for the Star.

FYI... the "Fixed SPR's" list on the SW website now contains the fixes for SP2.2. I won't list them here for obvious reasons.

PDMAdmin,
Thank you,
I’ve been waiting for them.
A star for you this time.

We have just been upgraded to 2007 sp2.2
We have the following setup and are experiencing severe graphics problems and regular system hangups.

Pentium 4 CPU - 3.6 Ghz
4Mb RAM
Nvidia Quadro FX 3400
XP Professional 2002 SP 2
On Network Windows 2003 (100 Mbit Line)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated gents?

Did you upgrade or did you do a clean install? Did you dissable your antivirus software before installation?

What's with 2007 SP3.0 being shown on the SPR list?? Then, right above it it states that:
"Latest SolidWorks Service Pack: SolidWorks 2007 SP2.2"

Then to top it off, it doesn't look like the sp fixed much despite (at least on my end) several issues...Oh, well!

I'm actually taking Scott's old advice of:

If it's not broke, don't fix it.

Normally that's difficult for me, since I'm a designer and I fix things that aren't "broke" all the time as a personality disorder. After installing SW 2007, SP 0 for production use, I now have a great fear of the ensuing chaos.

Reason trumps all. And awe transcends reason.

I think that's the approach I'm going to take...except it is broke even though we're still using it as is! I do wish they'd correct some looong standing issues though. We continually have fits with printing...They are real bugs, but never seem to get attention.

The most helpful fix in 2.2 was the memory error that came up in large assem.'s. For those not familiar with this error it caused an error in Solidworks stating that solidworks couldn't find enough memory to open the assem., the only choices given at that point were to free up memory(I had 200 GIG free and it still said no), or to shut down solidworks.
This glitch was the single only reason I rushed to update from SP0.0

Hippieguy, Have you had any problems since the 2.2 install? That would be a definite benefit for installing 2.2. I missed that.

No problems so far, I've had 2.2 up and running for a week
and all the little bugs seem to be worked out.
The memory problem went away as soon as it finished loading.
The only hinderance was that I went from SP0.0 to SP2.2
and that load seemed to take awhile.
The system runs smooth now though.

What printing issues were you having???

We just get random results so often. The most common is where an 11x17" scaled to fit print will get "squashed". E.g. the width will stay the same, but the vertical dimension gets smaller. This only happens when we print in high quality. Other times we just get crazy results. Usually if you print a couple more times it will eventually come out right.

When this happens this only affects the hard copy right, not the model or the print on screen?
Sounds like a driver issue with your printer or the parameters may be set to something weird.
When I changed my computer at work I lost the setting for 11 x 17 and had to use the setting "tabloid" to get B size prints.

SW tells me its a printer driver, but we've got the latest, its a new printer (less than a year old), and not a cheapo. And it only happens with SW! What else can we do? That's fine if they want the printing company to fix it, but we've got colleagues that have the same problem on a different brand of printer; besides, its SW's job to output the data in a readable format for the current drivers, is it not?

Oh well...I'll probably just keep grinning..and bearing.
