Hey guys I got Windows Vista RTM on my machine about January 1st and was running the Vista Beta 1 (SP2.0) and it worked flawlessly. I then tried to install Vista beta 2 (sp 2.2) and it gives me some kind of security error when I open it and shuts down solidworks! I don't know what to do I did everything like I was supposed to when I installed it. Someone please help me out. Does someone know where I can get the SP2.0 instead of SP2.2 from, maybe that would work? Please respond here or erapbdesigns@gmail.com

Thank you,
Paul Smith

Hmm are you sure cause the SW Vista doesn't work not Windows? But I will try nonetheless.

Thanks

Ahhh, now I understand. I missed that you meant the SolidWorks Vista Beta versions.

This should really be in it's own thread, but ...
Can you not "roll-back" the upgrade?
If you originally installed the SP2.0 version, how come you don't have it now?
If you are on the Beta program can you not download it from the portal? Or request it from SW or your VAR.

[cheers]

Yeah sorry I just reread that. I phrased it rather porrly, but it's okay I got my regular Solidworks 2007 to work in XP compatibility mode, but thanks anyway!
