Hi all, can anybody give me some information about designing (sizing) high pressure separator for high pressure oil-water streams?

There is a pressure of 350 barg.

Can anybody help me to design this equipment?

The API 421 standard doesn´t apply for this design because the separator must be cilindrical.

I need an horizontal or vertical vessel as a separator but I don't know how to size it.

Thank you.

Thanks Aggie87, I will take a look on this.

bye,

By all means us an application.

About 8-9 years ago i investigated seperation issues in liquid liquid section of a oil processing unit. Our process operated at low pressure - however we did consult with an expert group BHR - british hydralic research group. They did note that at higher pressure seperators can perform differently. They do a lot of work for crude high efficieny seperators used in crude oil extraction. So to cut a long story short - make sure there is nothing uniquie about the pressure effects.
