Siemens-Allis Arc Chutes Material 1

Does anyone know for sure if the '70s era Siemens-Allis LV breakers used asbestos arc chutes? Specifically the LA-600 and LA-1600? If so, was it discontinued at some point? We have several of these breakers to dispose and we will be testing them but if I can determine from their vintage (mfg date and/or serial number) that would be preferred. Thanks!

Yes they were asbestos, the 2nd revision (LA-1600B, etc..) used non asbestos arc chute material.
