Dear All,

Can anybody advice why the Shell Piping classes does not mention of the Flange Face types in it?
How the one referring to it should understand what face type is specified for the flanges?

Regards,
cjabhijit

Thanks & Regards,
Abhijit

Refer to DEP 31.38.01.11 para 8.6. Furthermore, all details one can possible specify for any component or fitting are usually included in the MESC number, which are found in the piping classes.

Thanks XL83NL for the quick one....I understand from referred clause that all the flanges are RF per below...

"Flanges shall be raised-face in accordance with ASME B16.5 or calculated in accordance with ASME Section VIII."

Thanks & Regards,
Abhijit

No there are exceptions which are mentioned in the same clause.

ok XL83NL, I understand however, most of them are RF types.
Will go through & implement.

Thnx again...

Thanks & Regards,
Abhijit
