shear-moment shareware?

Hi - I am a licensed architect looking for a good, old fashioned, shear and moment beam diagram diagram calculator. Can anyone recommend shareware? I've googled it and found some software and it's ok.

Something where you just plug in the support conditions, span, the loading (ie point loads or distributed loads) and it spits out Vmax and Mmax.

If you are looking for a CALCULATOR, as in small portable, calculation gizmo, I would recommend HP49g+ or HP48 series. The latest one, (I use it) is HP49g+ it cost $125 and you can download manny engineering programs from

http://www.hpcalc.org.

The one you are looking for is called VigaG and offers multispan beam analysis, with as manny loads as you feel like inputing. This program (as all other from this web site) is LEGAL, FREEWARE PROGRAM, but I don't think it is certified. If you want something certified, then you will have to pay more. I think you can get RISA 2D for under $600.

Try the spreadsheet by Yakpol - see thread770-149655 It is pretty easy to use.

Keep in mind that using the demo versions for commercial work is illegal in most if not all cases. It's not worth getting in trouble over.
