Selection of corrossion test G28/G48

Dear All,

We are having injection quill fittings.Material grade is inconel 625.
As we are referring the flange specification(SAMSS- Saudi Aramco standard),its having requirement of corrosion test G28. But for the same grade material (inconel 625) fittings is having requirement of corrosion test with G48.

Can i know the possible reason from anyone that for same material grade , why two type of corrosion test specified ...??????

Actually they are both important. They test for different characteristics.
Have you read the two test methods?
For G48 your customer would need to supply a method, temperature, and acceptance criteria.
