I have a drawing where I want to put section A-A on the second sheet. What's the best way to do this?

Create section A-A and move it to the second sheet.

When I try to drag it, I get nothing. I have Sheet 1 open, and Sheet 2 is "dimmed". Dragging the Section won't allow it to drop. When I have Sheet 2 open, I can't click on the section.

I believe the way I do this is:

1. Create the section view on the same sheet as the parent view.

2. Right click on the section view -> Alignment -> Break alignment

3. Cut section view

4. Paste section view on other sheet.

Howdy,

I agree with and use DaveZR2 Cut and Paste method. I've also found that picking from the SW menu Edit -> Cut & Paste for some reason is more consistent. I discovered that back in SW2006. Some habits and hard to break :) .

Within the drawing manager tree, with the sheet active that has the section view on it, drag the view to the other sheet. Again, this is done within the manager tree, not on the face of the drawing.

Dragging can only be done from the active sheet, You'll see a (/) symbol when dragging until you drag over the sheet name of the destination sheet. when you see the move under arrow appear you can let go and drop the view.
