Hi,

I have 2 assy files 12345-A and 12345-B assebmlies part files.
However 12345-A file has already a created drawing with multiple pages and
12345-B doesn't have any drawing created yet.
I don't want to create a new drawing with lots of notes for 12345-B asy file and I'm looking
to utilze already existing 12345-A drwaing.
I am wondering how I can save 12345-B asy file in 12345-A drawing?
Please advise.

One method would be to export the drawing (as explained by joycejo in thread561-248124); now you will have a master model drawing of 12345-A. Make a copy of the drawing (save-as), then replace the 12345-A component in the drawing file with 12345-B; reattach/recreate dimensions as needed.

Thanks
How i can replace the 12345-A component in the drawing file with 12345-B,
I couldn't see a command "Replace components"

Let me back up a step, I may have "read something into" the question that isn't there. When you say you have a drawing for 12345-A, are you using the master model method for the drawing? In other words, is the model contained in one part file and the drawing in another dedicated file? If so, has the model (not just views of the model) been added as a component to the drawing file? In the drawing file does the model component icon look like the one on top (plain cube) or on bottom (cube on top of a drawing sheet) in the screenshot below?

Or is the model and the drawing contained in the same part file? (my first post assumed this was the case)

I have 12345-A part and dwg, and another part 12345-B only, and my intent is to create a new dwg for 12345-B,
utilizing 12345-A dwg (multiple pages)to carry over all notes and remarks from.

So which component icon do you see in 12345-A_dwg? If it is the cube, you can right click on the component and you will see the option to "replace component"; or you can find the command in Assemblies -> Components menu (make sure the assemblies application is activated).

If your component shows the cube/paper icon, you will not have the option of replacing the component, because you don't have a true component. You can still use 12345-A_dwg as a starting point, but you'll probably have more 'hand editing' to do.

I can't see any cubes.
How can I link 12345-B data to 12345-A_dwg?
