what is a cause of small notch in rotor laminations keyway?
and why it does rotate and move along the rotor stack length?
Does it mean that laminations must be rotated and turnover along with the rotor stack?

That is some interesting stuff that you're doing in your spare time.

Permanent magnet machines are outside of my wheelhouse. Maybe someone else has better ideas or references...

Or you might want to start a new thread with your question asking for ideas and references.

Funny, it wouldn't occur to me that it would make much difference (from my ignorant point of view, of course).

I've posted questions about it before, on ET and beyond, without much success. But I have better pictures now and maybe that will help elicit more answers and ideas.

I have learnt to design windings on my own from textbooks and by experience.

Could you reveal to me the titles of these textbooks?!
Your answer confuses me because I did not ask for OEM data.

I've just taken electricpete's advice and posted a more detailed description of my projects.
