Hello Everyone,
I am having issues with risa 3D, I am creating a structural load frame for a senior design project, and I am having issues with analysis offset. I am worried that the HSS members are not working correctly, They are supposed to reinforce the top two members. do I have an alternative to the analysis offset, or am I stuck with that?

Can you explain further? Which members are they supposed to reinforce? I see the HSS beneath a WF. Do you mean to use them as a bracing for the bottom flange?

[edit]: For such framing, I would recommend you use rigid-links/dummies rather than analytical offsets. RISA 3D has something similar on this Link

Build a simple model with known results and see if the program gets it right. This is the remedy for most questions like this one, so get in the habit. LOL

By "simple," I mean as simple as you can come up with. For example, if I want to test whether a program correctly computes natural frequencies, I'll start with a model with literally one node and a spring. Build up from there.
