The cover cap was my first real success at using surfaces to create quite a complex shape. It still requires a little bit of work, but almost there.

Nice! very nice model and render you have there

From every pic you post you got beater and beater improvements

A Little suggestion: try to lift light higher and wider to avoid light concentration on floor

Skwasim, Isair is right, with every post you just keep improving. I think you are catching CP up quick than he realises hehe

Thanks for the compliments too... my modelling is getting better which is the main thing, rendering will come later on. But I will have the occasional go at it and post away soon.

That latch looks great SKINT, nice design. I like the colored clay renders.


Can everyone that requests feedback from me send me a quick PM and tell me what software you are using to model and render with so I can be accurate on my advice.


Thanks guys...Sorry I have been slow on the Belair. I have decided to do another render of the Mustang but with a little more detail than before. This print will be comparable to what the Belair front end print will be. I am working on it now.

he is simply a great guy because of hime i am here before meeting i didnt know tht rendering existed in pro-e he is the man who made me thanks to him Isair u were suggesting something i didnt get u plz can u explain me in detail and CP u were speaking abt details i didnt get u either if u guys could tell me i would happy to improve myself thanks again

Checkout a closeup picture of a speaker and you will see some details you are missing. You might want to differ the colors on the face and add a bump. Thisis a quick render I did a while ago, you might be able to see what I mean.

When you add lights to your model under position you have location of light. There you can adjust your light position in reference to model and room. What I mean is that try to set light a little bit distant from your model and floor in this way you would avoid high intensity of light in floor (the white color on floor). Also try to spread light beam instead of focus it.
Hope I explain clearly now

Now finally it comes to mine brain that for rendering all that matters are textures. The realism and quality of render pic depends on textures.
Now question for Piotrowski:
Can you a little bit more with detail describe how you made your texture fore rendering, which filter do you use in Photoshop etc
Also when you are creating material in Pro/E do you use same images for textures and for bumpmap or different?

Thats nice tutorial, and something I was looking for just to try to render with Lightwave, and not to spend whole month to read lightwave manual to achieve this. This also can be of use for another programs as well (I still haven't got look at blender's capabilities, but I'm sure that this manual would sped that process)

Its not about rendering with another rendering software. Good information tho, I have lightwave and this will help.

CP nice pics iam eagerly waiting for u to post the pics with textures believe anyway as for the isair tip i have model a simple component and try to render it hope i have done fine this time basically it is one of the speaker i saw it at my friends house i know did not model it to perfection but anyway i tried it out

Yeah CP awesome basic render, the lighting on the floor looks excellent already. As Miko asks, what percentage of the final renders you do is photoshop work, and what sort of photoshop commands are you using ( sorry for those who are unfamiliar with ps ).

Yeah its a shame 50 limit on image uploads, even with my crappy renderings the 3 meg tiff files look so much better hehe. Thats a cool render though Red, did you do that for personal interest or is stereo design part of your job
