go to: http://imageshack.us/index.phpupload your images there (it is free), limit is 1Mb big image (but for forum I would recommended smaller then 500kb). When you have uploaded your image, there is option: Links for forums (or something like this) copy/paste one of this 2 links (if you aren't sure which one just try with one, then preview your post and if image is showing then this one is right) into post and image will show in post.
This way we all can enjoy in beautiful big render images

I have come a cross useful photolux config.pro option;


ADV_PHOTOLUX_OPTIONS set it to Yes
and you will get a whole new world of photolux material options (this is normally available in WF 3.0)


Few notes:
This is hidden option so be careful
works in WF 2.0 (not sure if it works in Wildfire)
Only works with graphic library materials

Hi Isair,


Yeah Ive thought about imageshack, just not had the energy to get around to start an account

I added that option to my config, but does not seem to add anything ( WF2 I am using ). I guess you have to have the photolux part installed anyway, not sure if this version has it.


New render of a doorlock part that I have worked on this afternoon, I have not really done much with rendering yet but this is not a bad start just for mucking about whilst I work

Red, thats a pretty cool job mate, must be great when you walk around the store and see people messing with a stereo, then you quietly walk up and say " I designed that ". Nice one mate.

Hmmm, where to start....


Sorry in advance if I miss someones picture or question, its very hard for me to scroll back more than one page to see questions and comments.


I do use the same material for texture and bump. What I have realized is that my wildfire is starting to take a crap, I amgetting strange results in renders that I never got before. Windows wont show transparency, white spots in renders with bumps applied. My lens flare, depth of field, and all other options of ARX except raytracing have stopped working. Basically I am rendering now with regular photorenderer with maybe a raytracer that works. I may be forced to render with another program if I cant figure out what is wrong with mine.


These renders all look very good, I cant comment on them individually because, honestly, I cant remember which ones were posted and I dont want to miss anyone but I studied them all.


I have not given up on the belair, just taking a break. My computer at home is soooo slow that it takes me 4 hours to do something that would normally take me 30 minutes. This is frustrating, specially when I get failures or features not working when I know they are suppose to work like mirrors. I really think my wildfire is taking a shyt. I will get back on the Belair as soon as my mind can handle sitting in my computer room for days on end, just a little burnt out on making cars, soooo much work but I really do want to finish it. This render is just adjustments because of the weirdness that I am getting with bumpmaps and textures on the paint. Notice the windows are completely opaque, their not suppose to be. The rotors are too dull, reartail lenses are completely wrong,and the body paint needs a texture and bump map, this is just colored. I also still need to make a rendering scenery. All in all tho its not a bad looking render the more I look at it.

Hi

I have added the setting to my config.pro and there are two more options on my WF2.

They are found in the render setup in the "special"-flyer:
1. Geometry on request
2. Photolux Materialedit (test)

Since I have translated that from German to English maybe it is a bit different. Both of them are having a note which says: "For internal use".

But I couldn't check the result now.

@ISRAR: Can you tell us what can be done with those two settings?

Skint this option only works if you have ARX module (graphic library) otherwise it have no effect. BTW nice render

seser thats right exactly that is what you get when you turn on that option in config.
If you put mouse cursor over each option you will get basic info about it.
For Geometry on request it is for render performance (basically to low memory usage but extend time for rendering).


For photolux material editing is advanced material editing (only works for materials from graphic library). You got new options, when you select graphic library material under Advanced:
Color
Refl
Transp
Bump


I still haven't played with those options but I assume that will come in hand when needed.

and ISAIR abt the ADVANCE_PHOTOLUX_OPTIONS i tried it out but its not working i mean when i type it in config it does not show any option of YES OR NO i do have the graphic library installed with me but still iam not getting can u plz explain in brief how to instal it n wat is the difference we can find here is the basic rendering of the model i done with bump i havent done it to the qaulity of u guy's but still some how tried it out

With the ADVANCE_PHOTOLUX_OPTIONS, as Isair said it only works with the ARX extension, I dont think you have it and niether do I

With my render above, thanks for the compliment. I know I could do much better given the time, I created that render just messing around as I neded an image to show a customer. The hardest part is getting the piece to "sit" on the floor lol.


Your renders are looking better all the time, dont worry mate you are doing great.

RD, that is just an awesome render, imageshack has finally shown us what you are capable of lol. The detail on your wooden finish and the shine on your volume knob, everything looks so realistic... top job mate, post some more when you get chance

I use Pro to model, I then import this into Rhino from there I use the Flamingo plug-in to render.

Now a little bit more info:
If you got photolux under rendering settings then you got ARX module.
Graphic library is only library with materials for rendering usage; that toes not mean that you have ARX module (see above explanation). Although I don't know if graphic library works and with Photorender (Photorender is tool for rendering within basic ProE package).
ADVANCED_PHOLUX_OPTIONS is a Hidden option that means when you type it in your config options it wouldn't show any suggestions for its value (that what happens to you Skwasim), because it is hidden

Hidden options exist because PTC use them in development of ProE version or for test them for future versions (basically they are working versions, and some of them aren't finished to the end of existing release etc).


Skwasim just type ADVANCED_PHOTOLUX_OPTIONS and for its value type YES press enter and you will have it in your config.pro option.


Skint yeah I know what it was problem to achieve that model is sitting on floor but there is solution for this.
I don't know if you guys reeded this thread that James Lynch started about rendering but I suggest that you read all those post, there are a lot useful tips for rendering as well as great pictures (Skint including tip how easy and fast setup model on floor

)

I think that is the mostasked way of modeling and renderingfor anyone of us.I think that all of usjust want tocreatesome simple model and then rendered it in photoreal efects.


I am still learning the properties and ability of Proe/ARX alone likeanyone of us, but I must repeat thisis thegreat one rendering! Did you use some software for designers like Alias Maya, 3D Studio MAX or really the PROE WILDFIRE?


Sorry for my comment but I thinkthat thoserounds are not very realistic, but other shapes are nice!

I only use Pro/E to achieve this image. The model was modeled in Pro/E (and its relay messy, I just wanted to create it so I didn't pay attention for good modeling).
The rust texture I found on net here is the link:

The floor texture I created in Photoshop.
Render with ARX, and it was only for tryout so I didn't mess enough with lights and other setups.
