Render jpeg as background

Can anyone tell me how to place a jpeg into predefined archive I would like to use a draft view of a product as a background or base tried setting up a new archive but couldn't place a jpeg into it.

ok figured it out I was in the wrong place, all I had to do was format view background type image.
