Our company is in the process of looking for a new relay test set. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are reviewing the
Megger MPRT, KoCos ARTES 440 II, Omicron and Doble 6100. We have experience with the Doble 2200 series of test sets but would like to move away from them.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

There was a set on ebay for 25K. Kinda spendy don't ya think? I've been looking for test equipment for the last couple of months and its really hit and miss. Its not a commodity so if no one else happens to be looking at it you may get it real cheap, especially if its something the seller doesn't know anything about. If 2 or 3 get on there that know what test equipment costs then in can cost just as much as going through a dealer who has checked it out and repaired it. I will try to find the link to the dobles and post it here. I am looking for something older, SR 51, SR 76, SSR-78, manta 1710, etc.

Mikey70,

keep your eye here for SR51 or 76.
Bought one about 1 year ago and it cost more to ship from CA than I paid for it. When I it arrived the original leads (and orignal rubberbands I believe) were in it.

Just like Ebay, hit and miss, but not as much bid competition.
