Hello,
I have given below 2 example for setting the value for 2 functions in a Relay.

ex. Differential Protection

SETTING REFERENCES:
Is1: 10% of rated current (Gen) = 0,1 x Irated
Is2: set to 120% of rated current = 1,2 x Irated

and for ex.Over Voltage Protection
Settings according to generator recommended values:
59.1: V> 1 Trip stage: 1,1...1,2 rated U , max. 6 sec
59.2: V> 2 Trip stage: 1,2...1,4 rated U , 0,1 sec

MY QUESTION IS :

is these Irated and rated U values taken of the CT's or we have to do any special calculations for this.

Thanks in advance
Manju

Primary values referenced to the secondary of the CT and VT (can't get much useful information for a 59 from a CT).
