Re-calling all data referenced to a cell

Hello, im looking for a way to call up data from another spreadsheet, that matches the value i place in a sheet. Now i can do this for a single entry, via Vlookup, but to recall all listings with this value has got me stumped, I used to be able to do it in early versions of excel using databases and range, but i cannot remember how.

Basically i want to do a summary record of all parts made to a particual melt, that employees can look and type the melt number and then it searches another sheet, and pulls out all records.

I must admit, pivot tables are not something i use much, so a bit rusty on thier use and how complex you can get, but i will try and see if i can do it that way.

The main problem is that i want it to be fully automated, ie i type in a part number and it cals up form all our sheets online, the part history
