I am working on a RC column design and I am confused on how to determine the factor β when calculating the effective height of a column located at the corner of a building with slab-beam-column structural system.

I am not sure if the following are correct:
1. For a slab-beam-column system, the column should be considered as unbraced.
2. For a corner column, it is only connected to beam on one side only along each direction at both top and bottom(one for X direction and one for Y direction)

If the above are correct, then what is the factor β according to the table??
