QW-203 LIMITS OF QUALIFIED POSITIONS FOR PROCEDURES Unless specifically required otherwise by the welding variables (QW-250), a qualification in any position qualifies the procedure for all positions

Then Why piping are tested to qualify wps position 6g , if a 1G position is enough

It is a supplementary essential variable when impact testing is required. Qualification in vertical up position qualifies all positions when impact testing is required.
