QC in pvc production

New to the PVC field. Wondering what types of QC tests can be performed on pvc resins and with what machines. Applications related to fencing or pipe. Both extrusion and injection. Thanks!

First let me say I am not an expert specifically on PVC. Having said that, some tests could be:

1. Melt flow index (checks for variations in processability and molecular weight). Spiral flow is better if you have it.

2. Color (helps you make sure it's not off so you can retain consistent color and may detect degradation too)

3. Mechanicals every now and then, especially if you have a problem.
