PET Production via direct esterification of PTA

Dear respectful elders of polymer/chemical/process engineering,

I'm working as a process engineer in place where produce virgin PET resin via direct esterification of PTA and MEG. Our MEG/PET ratio close to 335/1000 (kg/kg) and our managers push us to reduce this ratio.

Question is simple, what is your lowest EG/PET ratio in PET production? İs it possible to reach stoichiometric ratio? If answer is yes, how? Could you give some clue for your young colleague please :)
