Hi,
do you know how to perform a pushover analysis in ANSYS; increasing loads for each load step.
many thanks in advance for your help.
cheers

As far as I know, it is not possible to perform a real pushover analysis in ANSYS. In fact, in the pushover analysis, the unknown are the load multiplier and the floor lateral displacements except the top displacement. It seems to me that this is a mixed load control-displacement control analysis and I don't know how to implement it in ANSYS.
Therefore, I am trying a multistep load controlled analysis analysis according to ATC or FEMA rules. After that a limit state is achieved, I stop the analysis, I modify accordingly the model and I start a new analysis. The envelope of the obtained curves is the pushover curve.
If someone has a better idea, it would be greatly appreciated.
