Pumps Cost Estimation

Hi All! I have the price (P$1) of a pump with diff press DP (DP1), and rated flow(Q1), and suction pressure (SP1). I want to extrapolate the cost (P$1) for a new pump with same DP1 and Q1 but with suction pressure (SP2 > SP1). Are there any relationships i could use to scale up the price?

Call the pump supplier that gave you the 1st price and ask him for the 2nd price. It will take a WHOLE lot less time and it will be 100% accurate.

Unless the increase in suction pressure is enough to require a thicker case or higher flange ratings, the selected pump and price shouldn't change since you aren't changing either the head or the flow rate.

Am I missing something here?

There will most likely be a relationship to the rated power. Not a very complicated one. Something like P2=(d2/d1)^a*P1 (d=duty, a=constant). Different types should not be compared directly (screw and centrifugal e.g.)
