Has anyone heard of having three individual power feeds ( one for each pump) into the controller of a triplex booster pump package. The package I have onsite has one power feed into the controller and then individual feeds to each pump.

I'm lost. One large power cable in, three starters, three smaller cables out, no problem.

I agree but.... I think that there was confusion between the electrical drawings and the plumbing. Electrically we have two 60 amp feeders and an additional 60 amp feeder that comes from an ATS served by two 60 amp feeders for emergency. So three 60 amp feeders one for each motor. The pump package we have is a syncroflo triplex package with a controller that is intended to take one power source in and distribute to the pumps as needed.

The design engineer is insisting that it is common to have a controller with three separate incoming power sources.

Could you repost in the electric motors fourm.
