I am in the process of performing destructive pull tests on BNC connectors crimped on 18, 20, 24 & 26 gauge cables to determine the quality/strength of the crimp. What is the standard for determining the minimum acceptable pull strengths for each of the gauges? I have found minimum standards for the tensile strength of the cable itself, however I am looking for the minimum amount of force the crimp should withstand before failure. Thank you very much in advance for your time and help. Please contact me if you require more information.
