So I kind of lost track of this website...

I'm still wondering if there is a documented procedure for simulating a loss of excitation in PSSE.

thanks.

What is the nature of the exciter loss? In other words, what do you expect the exciter to do when it stops working? Will exciter volts/amps fail as is? Will volt/amps fail high? Or will volts/amps fail to zero? Answer the previous question and you can then correctly model your exciter failure. Likely loss of excitation will trip the unit. Some back ground on this will helps us help you...
