I noticed yesterday when I went to edit custom properties (SW2006 SP0.0) in a part file that my "Properties" command did not appear when I clicked on FILE menu. I clicked on "Customize menu" and it was still there but had been unchecked, how?, I don't know. Anyhow, I selected it again but it doesn't remain. When I go back in it is unchecked again. I can double click on it and the custom properties box pops up and I can edit. This is happening with all my files so it's not in the part. I loaded SW2006 SP1.0 this morning and no change. This is getting annoying real fast. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks

Ok, got tired of it. Went in to "Customize" and hit "Show ALL" under "Options", "Menu Customization". Don't know how it got turned off in the first place, had't messed with it, but it's on now.

rcass ... that would be a useful FAQ for future reference. Care to "get your feet wet" in the FAQ section?

I suppose if this happened to someone else it is a way to get it back on. I don't know if it will be on if I try to go back to the mode that hides some of the commands. I didn't try to reset default cause I added a couple commands in other menus and didn't want to affect them. At least it's on and accessible. It's no big deal having all commands shown. In fact I prefer it that way. I didn't know before that I could show all of them all the time. That's one thing about windows I don't care for. I'll try to find time tomorrow to submit it.
