STEP file conversion

Hi,

I'm working on exporting a large assembly to STEP file in Solidworks 2022. Unfortunately, SW is unable to process it. We are trying to make some assemblies Virtual and tried again, still it taking days to convert to STEP file.

Any other easiest ways to do it? Please suggest.

How many parts and how much detail?

I haven't seen anyone do an assembly with 40,000 rivets, but I have seen people put turns of wire on motor armatures and solid feature threads on screws and wonder why it takes an hour to open the assembly.

How big? If just working virtual for your company use, maybe try pack and go zip?
