Hi

I am a french aeronautical engineer in SNECMA and actually I am working in a canadian company. In fact, I must make a preliminary dynamic analysis of a complex chassis. I will use the chapter "designing electronic boxes" of the second edition of the "vibration analysis for electronic equipment" write by dave steinberg...
It is an excellent tool for a mechanical engineer...but I have got a little problem for understanding the values that you can find in the table 10.1 of the chapter "bolted covers".
In fact, I don't arrive to find the signification of the value "c" and I need absolutely this value to finish my work!
I am sure that I will find a qualify person on steinberg book analysis and I hope that there is a person who could help me...

please, If you can help me, let me know.

Thanks

I'm very grateful to you...

First, note that Steinberg calculates Y bar and X bar. These are the coordinates of the system center of mass.

The value c in Table 10.1 is the distance from the item center of mass to the system center of mass.

Sincerely, Tom Irvine
